I don’t normally think of Trader Joe’s as a place to shop for my skincare so I was shocked and a to discover they sell their own brand of facial moisturizer on a recent grocery run. Actually, I’m a bit embarrassed that I haven’t noticed that they had their own line before last week. Even with a price tag of a mere $4.99 for the Regenerating Antioxidant Moisturizing Lotion I was a little skeptical about how well it would hydrate my face throughout the day. I should have know that this moisturizer is like the rest of the Trader Joe’s brand items: surprisingly high quality at a low, low price.
This moisturizer comes in a nice 4 oz. pump that dispenses just the right amount of product to cover the entire face and neck area.
Infused with Vitamin C, this light moisturizer treats all sorts of skin issues from dehydration to fine lines and wrinkles. The texture of this moisturizer is very smooth and it absorbs quickly into the skin leaving just the right amount of hydration and oil control. Personally, I feel that this moisturizer is good for all skin types however, more mature skin may want something that is a little more emollient.
As for layering the moisturizer with other skin care products, it seemed not to have any adverse reactions to being combined with my serums and eye cream which was one of my big concerns. I hate it when you layer products only to have little balls of gunk form on your face as your products react to each other. My make up also goes on well over this lotion and leaves my skin soft and matte for at least 8 hours. I’m so glad to have discovered this moisturizer and will definitely be investing in more of the Trader Joe’s line of skincare.

The packaging, consistency, and scent of this product are exactly like a similarly labeled product from JASON natural cosmetics. I wonder if TJ's got the rights to sell the product under their name at a discount. I am really happy they started offering this product. It makes a great lotion to guiltlessly slather on the face straight out of the shower in the early part of the day.

Yes, Hannah, I noticed the same thing. I have a sneaking suspicion it's one in the same, only Trader Joe's sells it at half the cost. I'm a fan of Jason's Ester C lotion so this is a great discovery. Melissa, don't be embarrassed...I'm almost sure this is a new product line.

Don't use this product! I had a severe allergic reaction after using this once. My eyes swelled up, it looked like I was in a boxing match! My neck got all red with small blister like pimples! Very painful, lated a couple days and didn't even go out of my house! Stay away!

I loved jason Ester c's and was bummed when I couldn't find it. It made my skin look great and was so excited to find it today and half the cost.. and am even more excited to see your posts ( looks like great minds think alike)

I'm from Texas & I was in the Portland area, I walked into a Trader Joe's to look for a face lotion. I must say WOW, people ask me what do I use on my face. I LOVE it, do any of you know if they offer it online?

The fragrance in this product is STRONG. It shouldn't be at the bottom of the ingredient list but at the top. I just got this product and at first it smelled like rancid grapefruit but then once on my face the fragrance smell was like that of a cheap shampoo or even the fragrance they use in boxed hair dye. The package design and labeling are nice but my pump doesn't work. I used a very small amount and the coverage is good but I do not like the fact I can not stop smelling it. It's so strong I can taste and I am getting a headache so it is getting returned. :(

I love this product!!! I also liked the Jason product and could no longer find it...was really upset...I went to TJ's and found this product and I am so happy with it...and the price is great...I also bought the cleanser..very good

Love this product! I mix it with Squalane and it works beautifully. Leaves my skin smooth and feeling hydrated.

I've been fighting an eczema rash for a year and this is the first lotion that has actually helped (including perscriptions)! I love this lotion!!!

Like ALL of Trader Joe's skin, hair and body products, this moisturizer is superbly formulated and well worth the inexpensive cost. It DOES NOT smell rancid in the least. People whom have had issues with this lotion, simply just have issues in life. Yes, I have also had this confirmed by TJ's that this is the SAME lotion that is offered in the Jason Natural Cosmetics range of products. Hain Celestial produces this product for Trader Joe's and Jason. Enjoy it while you can!

omg!! i love this moisturizer the face wash is also the freaking best thing ever!! and its totally inexpensive!! what the f! best face wash and moisturizer i have ever used!!! i dont know why someone complained about the smell because yea it does smell funny if you just smell it right out of the bottle but when you put it on its wonderful!! too me it smells of something like baby lotion!!! anyway i love this moisturizer and the face was and i def will keep buying it!!
